Zora Khiry, Photographer at Macro

Zora Khiry

New Orleans, LA
Zora Khiry (she/they) got interested in photography when she got a Tumblr account in 2012 and began editing her iPhone photos until she got a digital camera and took a photography class in college. In terms of diversity and inclusion, they said, “I think diversity in front of the camera is easy, but diversity behind the camera is difficult. Often black or trans photographers see the world very differently, even behind the lens.”

Her favorite thing to shoot is street photography or urban landscape photography: “There is so much to see in the city from an infinite amount of angles. Every angle offers something new.” They hope more people will see their work through Macro and that companies are inspired to seek unique, creative stock photos.
